This kid... He's a riot, he is kind, he is helpful, he is crazy, he is naughty, he is playful, he has lots of energy, he is full of love, he is talkative...
There are so many words to describe this kid. He is my world, my son, the greatest Christmas gift I could ever ask for, he's the one who made me mom...the best title in the world. I love him more than words. He makes me crazy, he makes me laugh, he melts my heart, he makes me wanna pull my hair out.
He seriously talks so much. He repeats everything. (Which is good and bad..)
My most favorite thing right now is when he tells me he wants to snuggle me. Or wants me to snuggle him. I drop everything and go. He hasn't been much of a cuddler since becoming a toddler. He's always too busy. And now he loves to snuggle and watch the Lego Movie (which he quotes).
He's obsessed with Legos, spider man, anything that isn't normally a toy.
He's so independent. He wants to do (almost) everything on his own. Some days he seems so big. But when he's asleep, he looks so innocent and so much like that baby I gave birth to 3.5 years ago! That bottom lip, that peaceful face, not moving or talking or screaming...
(Too much info section)...He's obsessed with his penis. It's seriously his favorite toy. It's a job alone to keep his pants/clothes on.
He is potty trained (Except at night). He loves to pee outside. It's pretty hilarious.
He talks. A lot! From the moment he wakes up ("mom the suns awake") to the moment he closes his eyes. He asks people what their names are all the time ("what's yours name") he goes thru and tells us who's a girl and boy ("daddy has a penis, Demund has a penis, hurley has a penis, mommy doesn't have a penis...") i feel like that one might backfire on us one day... But I am amazed he already knows the difference. He is always singing songs ("everything is awesome! Itsy bitsy spider. Abcs. Winkle star. Where is thumbkin") he can count to 13 and finally stopped skipping 9. But when he gets to 13 he goes back to 6. He can tell me how many objects I put in front of him (up to 3). He knows he's 3. We ask him his name and he says "big boy demund". He always asks if we are happy or mad. And either one he asks to see us happy or mad. He will tell us he's mad (he told me one day he was mad at daddy for not sharing his toys lol). Then he will say "I happy at you". He tells us constantly "I love you much" and always adds whoever it is to the end of the sentence. He pronounces the D's in daddy very well. He still can't say L's very well. There are a few other letters he's working on. He's incredibly smart! He amazes me every day. Things he says and does...sometimes from out of nowhere he will do or say something and I have no clue where he got it from. It's hilarious. He makes me laugh constantly. Somedays tho, I have to remember he's a kid. He is discovering boundaries and a lot about himself. I know he has to have rules and structure, but it's nice to see him explore, use his imagination (he likes making bottles and stuff talk to each other). He's so fun to watch. He molds things out of playdoh and tells me it's this or that. He makes up combined animals. He pretends to talk on the phone and makes up conversations. He tells stories. And has the craziest crazy laugh. He is full of spunk. I sure love this kid!!!
I never pulled over just to stare at horses.
I was never willing to give someone my last bite.
I never planned on handling someone else's boogers.
I never listened to the same song 50 times in a row.
I never found rocks in my dryer.
I never had the power to heal a wound with a kiss...
Until you.
Desmund, I love you more than anything. You are the best thing to happen to me and your dad. We love being your parents. I hope we are doing it right. You're happy and healthy so we must be. You are our world. We are so happy you're ours.
Love mom and dad
