Last week of the year!

We are on day number four of Desmund's second days of life :) it's so crazy!

Run down of last week.

Tuesday we went to Bennett 's birthday party and made Chinese food for dinner for Cameron 's family.
Wednesday we didn't do a whole lot. It was kinda a chill day. I baked the cakes for D's birthday party.
Thursday was Desmund 's party. I got the cake decorated and cleaned my mother in laws house for guests. Desmund had gotten the stomach bug that was being passed around so when it was time for cake he didn't really want to eat it. But he still sorta attempted. He mostly rubbed it all over his legs. Then when we went to open gifts he wasn't too sure. He got so much stuff tho. He was pooped from all the playing he slept the rest of the day pretty mch and kept grandma up til about 3 :/ cam and I went to the pepper tree for comedy night with Daniel. It was pretty fun but i was so tired from the day too. Cameron had given me christmas gift early.. A mini camcorder so I could record the day :)
Friday we went to lunch with cams family. We went to a steak house called stockman's and it was amazing! Then we headed to Rexburg for my nieces baptism. Cam went to Chester to check out dans house while we went to the baptism. Then we had dinner and Christmas with my family that night. My nieces had fun:)
Saturday we got ready for that night. Had dinner and opened gifts. By this day, the people who got the stomach bug were metria, robin, josh, cam, Desmund, sarah and then Trevor got it Sunday. Me and Emily and Shawn were the only ones who didn't ... We had dinner, played games and opened a few gifts. Then we read the night before Christmas (our new tradition) and left cookies, milk and a note for Santa. It took a while to get Desmund down, but he finally knocked out.
Sunday we woke up about 8:30. Desmund didn't want to get up at all. We finally got him awake and opened presents. I got everything and wanted plus some. I got spoiled, Desmund had more toys than he knew what to do with...not to mention what he got for his birthday lol. cam got everything he asked for too plus some. It was a good morning, we got ready and packed up the car and headed to Blackfoot for dinner. Then at 3:30 headed back to Boise.
When we got home our house was about 30 degrees. Ugh! Then we had frozen pipes. Monday morning cam found a busted pipe :( we called a plumber and cam left work. The plumber left before even finishing his job. We couldn't turn the water on for 6 hours so it could set and when we finally did, there was another broken pipe. No water for 2 days and a dumb ass plumber. So cam ended up fixing it himself. Then our bathroom flooded. Josh and robin came over on tuesday to help cam out kuz I wasn't much help. There was a pipe broken in the wall behind the shower. Now we have water and things are good. Just a messy house and a hole in my bedroom wall.
Tuesday we had a wic appt. DES was 22 lbs 14 oz (50th percentile) and 29.5 inches long (75th percentile). 90 th overall. His 1 year wellness check is tomorrow. So we will see how those stats stand lol. I've been nervous about putting him on whole milk, so I'm waiting til after his appt tomorrow. Not looking forward to shots :/
Today we just cleaned. I washed and folded mounds of laundry. Cleaned out the closet. Cleaned the kitchen and living room- which both are now a mess kuz DES pulled out all his toys. Story of my life lol.

Well I will put up pictures and videos tomorrow or Saturday. Time for me and the D man to go to bed. I'm exhausted. Besides pictures and videos, this is probably my last post of 2011! so crazy! It's been a great year for the Busch family. We've been thru some stuff but who hasn't? We've made it thru everything and I love my boys more than anything. I have a great famil and life.
