New Years Resolutions

So I have been meaning to write all of this down for a while. And I know it's April, and I have been on and off with my new year's resolutions, but it's a new day and I want to do these things. It'll be hard getting into a new routine with going back to work and finding a new sitter. But these are the things I want to do to better myself and be a better mom and wife...

(not in any particular order & maybe not even all New Year's Resolutions, just things to better myself...)
~Exercise AT LEAST 4 times a week, but do crunches every day
I want to be back to pre- pregnancy weight by June or July
~Eat healthier, cook more, eat out less
I don't want Desmund eating fast food very often and homemade meals are the best!
Along with this, I will eat 3 meals a day with small snacks in between-healthy snacks
Make a menu for the entire week and stick to it
~Keep my house and car clean
I don't want to have to worry about what someone will think when they come into my house
or be embarrassed kuz it's a mess, and I know it's hard with a baby and 2 dogs, but I will work on it
I want to keep laundry done up and put away as well
Dishes clean
With my car, I don't want to have to move stuff off my front or back seats so people have a place to sit
~Read at least one chapter a day from whatever book I am reading
Plus read to Desmund everyday
~Make time for both my boys
Date night with Cam as often
Cuddle time with Des, and doing stuff with him to help him learn
ie. tummy time, reading, watching baby Einstein, taking him to the park or zoo etc..
~Talk to someone in my family once a week
text, call or email a "love note"
~Take time to enjoy the small things in life
not stress about small issues
be grateful for everything I have
say Thank You etc.
~Build and keep clientele
talk to someone I don't know
this goes along with marketing myself for being a cosmetologist
I want to give out at least 2 business cards a day when I am running errands etc...
to help build clientele I want to give away free services to those who I think deserve it
~Get on a regular sleep and eating schedule
I know sometimes it'll have to be flexible with work and a 3 month old
~Be more optimistic, nice and friendly
I want to try to not complain as much and find the good in any situation
Not be such an angry driver
Smile more and smile at someone-eye contact
~Look professional everywhere I go
I am my own advertisement
~Budget mone
y!!! $$
bills, inventory and work supplies, stuff for Desmund, groceries, etc..

I know I have other things to improve on, but this is what I have so far and I will try to keep you updated on progress.

I have 25 hours lefts of school and am hoping to get them finished by Thursday! I am getting really excited. And I know I will have to be flexible on a few things because of how crazy life can get. The things that are italicized are the most important ones to me. I mean they all are, but I don't want to feel down on myself if something doesn't get done. These are just things for me to better myself and stuff I will have to work at every day. This last week, not many of these things got done, but I went to 35 hours of school in 4 days and I got run down, so yesterday was a chill day at home, with my boys. No make up, didn't do my hair and slept away the afternoon. I don't want every day like that, but it was nice to not have to be anywhere. And then Cam made an amazing dinner. I am very grateful for him. I am also very grateful for our son. He is healthy and happy.

I have realized a lot lately how lucky I am, for Cameron and Desmund. A man who loves me so much and tells me how beautiful I am every day, even when I don't feel like I am. He supports me and our son, he is so good with money and bills, which I am not, so it's great to have that! He is a great father and husband I love him more and more every day! <3

Desmund is healthy and growing normally. He has no major health issues. He is happy and I adore him so much. I wasn't expecting a baby, but now I can't imagine our life without him in it and he's only 3 1/2 months old!

My family and in laws are great and supportive. I love them and miss them all very much.

I am healthy and happy. Finishing up school and have a job to go to. I have a car, a house, food on the table. We don't have to worry if we can pay bills month to month. Plus we are well enough off that we can go out to a movie or dinner and not have to worry that it'll come out of our bill money. I have a lot to be grateful for each and every day. I am very happy with where I am now :)

I LOVE MY LIFE!

  2. That was a great post Ila. When it was just Spencer, I did laundry on Mondays and Thursdays. I didn't worry about it piling it up because I knew when I would be doing it. I had a schedule for other things as well. With four kids in the mix it's a bit more chaotic, but sometimes it's fun to just enjoy it and the other stuff will get done. You're the cutest mama, and he's such a sweetie.
