Desmund is 20 months old!

Desmund 20 months

He has learned to blow! (he might be able to blow his own candles out this year) and he blows on his food to cool it off!

He loves spinning. Like a lot. He spins til he falls. Haha!

He does the craziest laugh! Like its almost a really overdone fake laugh!

A couple of his favorite games include, running from mom when it's time to get dressed or get a diaper change. Running to his room and hiding in his tent. Any form of peek-a-boo. Climbing on mom and dad like jungle gyms. (especially in the morning before dad wakes up...). And probably his most favorite game is taking the lid off a bottle or container, putting something in it, putting the lid back on, take the lid off and dump the stuff out, then starting over. He also likes taking pens apart and trying to put them back together. I emphasize TRYING. Lol:)

He loves feeding himself. He's getting pretty good with a spoon or fork:) 

He is still in a picky/not eating much phase, so I've been trying to make meals as healthy as possible when he actually decides to eat. He's been loving yogurt with baby cereal in it, cheese, broccoli, grapes, crackers, pickles, cucumbers, mac and cheese and olives (but less than before...).

He is definitely great at throwing tantrums. 

He loves giving loves. His Hugs and kisses are the best. Definitely make my day! And when I tell him to kiss a toy, he does. And he has to make the "mmmmm" sound as he goes in for a kiss;)

He has the most contagious laugh and smile. Needless to say its hard to stay upset with him for long. 

He loves waving and saying "eye eye" (bye) then walks to his room or to the front door. He's learning to get the "b" at the beginning...And has recently actually saying "bu". He can't get the "b" and "eye" together haha! But he now consistently says the "b" and is so close to actually saying "bye". 

He is a snuggle bug (when he wants to be). 

He runs. A lot. 

He pretty much loves all cartoons. Any tv show or movie. Especially If it has music! New shows/movies he likes: wonder pets, cat in the hat, curious George, toy story, shrek, over the hedge, the Lorax......really, anything... He loves tv. Luckily he likes being outside better, I don't want a couch potato...He moves ALL over the place while watching tv. Laying on the floor, sitting on the couch, standing on the coffee table or as close to the tv as possible, sitting on the computer chair....etc.

He's been playing in room lots lately. I love his "him" time.

He has been hitting and spitting a lot lately. I'm not sure how to make him stop. He gets time out every so often. He can be naughty.

He loves to talk on the phone. Pretend or real. 

He loves phones, computers, iPad, etc...anything electronic. He's a smart boy!

He gets entertained by the funniest stuff. Cups, spoons,  Hair ties/clips, brushes/combs...

Some mornings he has so much energy and he just runs thru the house saying "whoa" and spinning in circles.

He's a climber! My little monkey boy. He is (practically) fearless!

He can sense when something is wrong-for instance, my grandpa was really close to death this last weekend (August 18) and I was having a hard time and crying a lot. He came up to me and was loving on me. Kissing and hugging me, making silly faces and laughing. What a goof!

His smile and laugh melt my heart. It's contagious!

He finally has all his teeth-for his age!

He chews on EVERYTHING! His hands, sippies, shirt...everything has been going in his mouth a lot lately! 

I can't believe he is only 4 short months from being 2. He is definitely not a baby anymore. :( we've been getting him 3T clothes! I'm getting baby hungry haha..til I have to deal with Desmund at night. 

He's been falling asleep better, but he's been up A LOT during the night. I think it's his allergies. There's so much crap in the air right now too. Smoke and stuff (I'm assuming from fires...). My poor little man:( but we started melatonin earlier and laying down together in my bed with no distractions between 8&8:15pm. He will usually fall asleep before 9pm. And yesterday at nap time, I could tell he was tired, so I took him back to the bed and he was out in like 15 minutes!:) 

He has his first fall down a flight of stairs at great grandma Page's house. I wasn't quick enough to catch him:(

He LOVES animals. He got to pet some goats at the fair and a horse when we went to Dayton, Idaho this week. He was in heaven:)

He knows so much! When I tell him to pull the plug out of the tub, he does!

Also, when daddy's alarm goes off in the morning, he runs to get the phone off the counter for dad. This morning (August 24) he unplugged the phone, put the cord back on the conger and took the phone to daddy. He's super smart!

He loves "playing" the piano. 

He loves rocks and dirt and water (he's a boy...and a toddler. Which of them don't!?) haha

He loves the dogs (they are still not his biggest fans!)

Somedays I wish he could talk, so that when he needs something he could actually tell me what it is he wants instead of pointing and whining. Haha

He is totally a mamas boy. Somedays I love it and other days I can't get anything some without him wanting me to hold him...

He loves yelling "hi" and "bye" to people anywhere we go. It's funny. Half the time there's not Even anyone to talk to. Hahahahahahahaha

He sings along to a puppy he got for his birthday. It's so cute. 

He is obsessed with dragging pillows and blankets around. 

He started saying what sounds like "what's this?" 

I keep meaning to write things down as they have been happening, but I forget and then when I go to type or write, I've forgotten:( and I'm behind in his journal. So thank goodness for the blog!

And I've been working on this blog post for like 2 weeks and so everything is just random and not "yesterday" anymore haha..I should have put dates...
