So, we had an interesting weekend. I feel like the worst mom having Des in the car for Over 10 hours. Not only did he just get diagnosed with another ear infection, but he had a diaper rash, sore throat, just started antibiotics...the list goes on and on and on. It was nice to have Robin and my mom (grandmas) to help me, but it was a stressful weekend. It caught up to me today. I'm barely functioning. Anyway, we got to Idaho Falls on Thursday night. My very good friend Daryn was my life saver in the car. Two babies and two mommies was crazy. But we made it. I left Des with Robin then drove Daryn and Rachel up to Rexburg. Friday I did nothing. Des didn't sleep well Thursday night. In fact he screamed, a lot. So Friday we were bums. When grandma got home I showered and went out. Dinner and a drink with my friend Monica. Then we went shopping a bit. And I was gonna go out for drinks with Dave French, but Des had a full body rash. He had a pretty bad allergic reaction to the antibiotics. We think it was the actual penicillin not the potassium. So I stopped it and gave him benedril. He hasn't been wanting to drink his soy milk, but he's been drinking pedialite so he's hydrated. He finally started eating his solid foods again too. He's been a hungry boy. Well, Friday night grandma watched him til about 6:30am. Then I moved to the bed with him. He didn't sleep well the rest of the morning. We were up about 8. It was quite the morning. I had to go to the store to get more juice and meds. Then we headed to Rexburg. Desmund had a day with the other Grandma and his cousins. I went to run a couple errands and go to my best friends, crystal, parents house. I was throwing her baby shower. I went early enough to set up and love on the tiny, less than 2 week old baby, Shailee Lynn Williams. She's so tiny! The shower was fun. I now want a girl haha. Pink, ruffles, glitter, skirts etc lol! After her shower I went to visit my gay friend, Dave. Who lives right next to my parents. We talked for like an hour or more. He's hilarious! Then I picked up Des and we went back to Idaho Falls. Relaxing night and grandma had Des for the night. I got about 10 hours sleep and it was amazing. Then I loaded up the car and headed to Rexburg to pick up Daryn and Rachel, back to I.F. To pick up Desmund. Then a drive back to Boise. The drive home was a million times better! Since it went so well, we didn't stop til we noticed that Des was completely soaked. When we stopped we saw that Ray was soaked too. Oh boy. Quite the adventure at the rest stop. Changing babies and Desmund's seat was drenched. Poor boy. Then we got back onto the highway and instead of heading back toward Boise, we went the opposite way back to Twin. Crap. So about 15 minute detour ha! By the time we were about 10 miles from Boise the kids got antsie and were wanting outta the car. Good thing we were close. Dropped Daryn and Ray off at their house and headed home. Desmund and Cam were SO happy to see each other! Cam also had an early Valentines day dinner ready for me:) PLUS my house was clean, living room vacuumed, dishes done, kitchen mostly clean, and he even FOLDED LAUNDRY! Damn. That made me happy. I have an awesome husband! He has to work and has class all day tomorrow so I gave him his presents yesterday and today. I made him an ABCs of why I love you book, a collage of pictures of us and I ordered him a sweet watch which came today. And I made him a card. I had a couple other things I wanted to make, but I'll probably save them for his birthday. But I didn't do much today. We watched a bunch of movies. I cleaned a little bit. But I'm just exhausted from my weekend.

I took Desmund to the Dr this morning. No more ear infection. No more red splotches but there's still bumpy spots. She said his rash could have just been a virus and not an allergic reaction. I disagree and so do most other people I have talked to. I will get a second opinion from his actual dr. This was the other pediatrician who works in the same practice. I like her, but I don't know if I trust her judgment much. Even the nurse wrote amoxicillan allergy on his chart. And his diaper rash was really bad again last night :( they're the worst. But it's better today. He only took like 4 or 5 doses of antibiotics where he was supposed to take 20. But I wasn't gonna risk him going into anafilactic shock. He's been lots better the past 3 days. Despite a long car ride.

He's also cutting ANOTHER tooth. That's 6 teeth in about a month! NUTS! Now he has all 8 front ones...

I had a fun date day with my son. He was my Valentine since the grown boy has been gone all day. Des and I went shopping, got him some "new" shoes and 2 toy cars. I got some new sweat bottoms. Much needed haha! And we went to lunch at Applebee's. Des was LOVING some mashed potatoes and broccoli. YUM! Other than that, we have been home and watching TV and a chick flick movie :)

Anyway, it's been a great day. I just miss Cameron. I can't wait for him to get home, but he still has about an hour left of class...

Happy Valentine's Day. I feel so lucky to have 2 handsome Valentine's. These boys are my ENTIRE world!
